Hitotsubashi University Research Unit for Sport Studies (HURUSS) tackles a range of social issues in relation to sport, which we consider an integral ingredient to understand our society. W ith a unique m ix of disciplinary backgrounds in the social sciences, such as sociology, history, policy sciences, education, and social policy, we cover a range of research areas including cultural, developm ent, urban/regional, and social welfare studies.
