◆Graduate school entrance examination

Graduate school entrance examinations are held twice a year for the master’s program and once a year for the doctoral program. For more information, please visit the Graduate School of Sociology website below.

Graduate School of Social Sciences

An information session for the Graduate School of Sociology will be held prior to the entrance examination. If you would like to discuss graduate school, it is possible to meet individually with a faculty member. In addition, there are many support programs for learning by overseas students, please also see the following explanation.

◆Research support for graduate students

A desk (with bookshelf) for two students to share will be provided in the graduate student laboratory. The graduate student research room is available 24 hours a day, equipped with LAN and access to the library’s contracted databases.

Hitotsubashi University Library is one of the leading university libraries in Japan with approximately 2.06 million volumes. Graduate students may borrow 30 books for 2 months. Free access to the stacks is also available, making it an ideal environment for literature research. You may request the purchase of 30 books for up to 100,000 yen per year. You can access e-journals and databases using an account issued by the university.
